Frascati town(which is 10 kilometers from Rome) is renowned all over the world thanks to the beauty of its period villas and its DOC wine. The town was built over the ruins of former ancient roman mansions, and - because of its mild clima and its closeness to Rome - it is visited from tourists coming from all over the world. Frascati rises on a little hill, not far from the "Tusculum" ruins, the ancient town destroyed by the Romans in 1191. The survivors settled down in Frascata (modern Frascati). The elegant villas, costellating the Tuscolani hills, were built by the élite of papal Curia, the powerful aristocratic families that loved to establish there their summer residences. Frascati is a charming city in the heart of the territory called Castelli Romani in the province of Rome. The vicinity of Rome, its good wine and the salubrious climate are enchanting since hundreds of years tourists from all over the world. From the beautiful terraces of Frascati you can take a look to the planes towards Rome and towards the sea.

Directions to Reach to the Hotels:
By Train: From center railway station Termini, take train to Frascati (see below of this page for timings)
By Car: If you are coming from the north, GRA exit 21 Tuscolana direction Frascati.
If you are coming from the south, motorway RM-NA exit Monte Porzio Catone, or Torrenova (just after the exit Roma sud)
By Plane: Two Airports: Fiumicino Airport or Rome-Ciampino Airport

If you arrive at FIUMICINO Airport: You have three options to arrive to Frascati:

A) Public Transports: Go to the railway station at the upper floor of the airport terminal and take the “Leonardo Express” that train will take you directly to Termini station in the centre of Rome.
You can buy tickets also in tobacco shops. The ticket desks are open from 7.00 a.m. until 1.55 p.m. and from 2.15 p.m. until 9.00 p.m.
The trains leave every 30 minutes from 7.37 a.m. until 10.37 p.m. see the time table. Remember that your destination is ROMA- TERMINI.
You will arrive to Termini station platform n.25 (see the map) and it will take to you 10 minutes to reach the platform with the train to Frascati.

B) Taxi: The price for a taxi from Fiumicino Airport to Rome Termini Station will be roundabout € 40/50. To arrive directly to Frascati the price will be roundabout € 70/90. C) Rent a car: In Fiumicino Airport it’s very easy to rent a car:

If you arrive at ROME-CIAMPINO Airport:
Roma-Ciampino is the second airport of Rome, its littler but nearer to Frascati than Fiumicino Airport. From the airport you can take a taxi, the price to Frascati will be roundabout €40/60 depending on the traffic (for further information on taxi service see www.taxifrascati.it).

There is an autobus service from Ciampino airport to the railway station (10 minutes) on the railway line Roma Termini – Frascati.

If you arrive by Train at Rome Termini Station: You can buy the tickets inside the station, to Trenitalia box office or in a normal news-paper shop.
